Russian occupiers plan to deport ethnic Armenians, Azerbaijanis and Meskhetian Turks from Kherson to the temporarily occupied Crimea.

This was announced at a briefing by Iryna Vereshchuk, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister for Reintegration of the Temporarily Occupied Territories of Ukraine.

"According to our information, the occupiers planned a demonstration today - they are going to forcibly deport ethnic Armenians, Azerbaijanis and Meskhetian Turks from Kherson city to the temporarily occupied Crimea. Kherson residents are actively and massively protesting against the occupation. Russian occupiers understand that they are losing control and therefore resort to propaganda - they deport people to the temporarily occupied Crimea," - Vereshchuk said.

Earlier, russian occupiers kidnapped in Kherson the deputy of the Ship regional council, the chairman of fraction "European solidarity", the trainer of the national team of Ukraine on taekwondo Dmitry Afanasyev.

Russian military systematically kidnap people in the temporarily occupied settlements. In particular, in Kherson region, the occupiers captured the hero of the film "Ukrainian Sheriffs" Viktor Marunyak, who heads the community of Staraya Zbur'ivka.
