Russian private military group “Wagner” is involved in the conspiracy to assassinate Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal. These data will be provided to the International Criminal Court in Hague, the adviser to the Minister of Defense, Markiian Lubkivskyy, said to CNN.
“They wanted to kill the leadership of Ukraine: our President and Prime Minister. This was the goal; a couple of people from the group were unsuccessfully sent to Ukraine,” Lubkivskyy announced.
According to him, Ukrainian intelligence and the special forces protecting Zelenskyy confirmed this scenario. He added that all the documents and evidence would be provided to the International Criminal Court.
On March 20, the press center of the Chief Directorate of Intelligence reported that a unit of the Wagner Group tasked with killing Zelenskyy had arrived in Ukraine.
