In the temporarily occupied Melitopol, 70 Russian servicemen staged a riot and refused to take part in hostilities against the Ukrainian army, as reported by the Defense forces of the Zaporozhye region.
"It was reported that on 24 March, 2022, 70 servicemen from a unit of the Russian occupation forces stationed in Melitopol revolted and they refused to carry out orders from the leadership and to take part in hostilities against the Armed Forces of Ukraine," the statement said.
Ukrainian defenders advise the invaders to surrender.
It was earlier reported that the Russian military, in particular those fighting near Mykolaiv, appeared unprepared for the frosty weather.
