Nearly 400 children have been injured since the full-scale invasion of the russian federation in Ukraine. Of the total, 153 children died, and 245 were injured.
According to the press service of the Office of the Prosecutor General, children were most affected in the following regions: Kyiv - 73, Donetsk - 65, Kharkiv - 53, Chernihiv - 43, Mykolaiv - 30, Luhansk - 31, Zaporizhia - 22, Kherson - 29, Kyiv - 16, Sumy – 16, and Zhytomyr - 15 children.
In particular, a 2-year-old girl from Lysychansk, Luhansk region, died from severe injuries on March 31. She and her 7-year-old brother were seriously injured the day before.
On March 31, 5 children were injured after shelling in Donetsk region.
On March 30, two children were injured during shelling in Chernihiv region.
The bombing and shelling damaged 859 educational institutions, 83 of which were completely destroyed, according to the Office of Prosecutor General. The worst situation is in Donetsk, Kharkiv, Mykolaiv, Sumy, Kyiv, Kherson, Zhytomyr, Chernihiv regions, and the city of Kyiv.
