The Commander of the Ukrainian Air Force, Mykola Oleshchuk, announced that the russian occupiers changed the tactics of hostilities and concentrated their activity in the east of Ukraine. In addition, enemy aircraft are currently trying not to enter the Ukrainian Air Defense Forces area.

"Having suffered serious losses in aviation equipment, and as of now, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces, it is 143 planes and 131 helicopters, enemy aircraft try not to enter the area of our air defence and avoid direct contact with Ukrainian fighters. As a result, they resort to missile and bomb strikes, whose effectiveness in the military sense is questionable. However, the civilian population suffers, houses are destroyed, and the lives of innocent victims of the war are lost," Oleschuk said in a statement.

The commander thanked the allies and called for further assistance to Ukraine, particularly modern technological weapons that would help liberate the Ukrainian sky from enemies.

"Our allies know what Ukraine needs, particularly the Air Force! These are medium-range and long-range fighters and anti-aircraft missile systems, and not only Soviet-made ones," Oleschuk said. We were defeating, we are defeating, and we will be defeating the enemy! We want to do it faster and more efficiently to protect our home from the occupiers and save as many Ukrainians as possible!"

The Verkhovna Rada passed a law on a money bonus for serviceable russian military equipment handed over to the Ukrainian Armed Forces. Russians can get 1m dollars for an enemy plane or ship of 1-2 rate; for a helicopter or a ship of 3-4 rate - 500 thousand dollars; for an auxiliary ship - 200 thousand dollars; and for a tank - 100 thousand dollars.
