11 soldiers of the Special Purpose Police Unit (OMON) of the Russian Guard in the Khakassia Republic of the Russian Federation refused to participate in the war in Ukraine.
This was reported by the online media of Khakassia "New Focus."
After the incident, the Russian command instructed to withdraw special forces from the border camp and return back to Khakassia. They are now trying to be fired.
The media states that the Khakassia soldiers of the Special Purpose Police Unit (OMON) were suspicious of a "training" in the "West of Russia," and then - in Belarus since the commanders ordered them to take ammunition, which is used to put down mass disorders. We are talking about shields, batons, protective shields, and other equipment.
Moreover, after arriving at the field camp, special forces found that there are no conditions for accommodation. We had to spend the night under something like a canopy, under it we arranged some plank beds that stood just in the swamp. The soldiers were not even given C-rations. The commander, according to soldiers, was drunk.
On February 24, columns of Russian occupation forces crossed the Ukrainian border, and later met strong resistance from the Ukrainian army and lost a lot of personnel. Russian command forbade wounded soldiers to tell relatives about the injuries. So protest moods began to spread among the occupiers.
The media notes that 12 soldiers of the Krasnodar OMON refused to go to Ukraine. There was a case when the commander of Novocherkask OMON refused to lead his detached forces to slaughter. Currently, the commander of the occupiers is under investigation, he is accused of refusing to comply with the order.
Earlier, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on April 3, the moral and psychological state of the personnel of the Russian aggressor and the level of motivation remain at an extremely low level. Commanders of different levels of the 3rd motorized rifle division of the 20th Combined Arms Army of the Western Military District refuse to participate in combat operations.
