The Armed Forces of Ukraine (UAF) destroyed part of the russian battalion-tactical group during the assault on a number of settlements in the Donetsk region, as reported in the command of the Special Operations Forces of UAF.

That was the 1st Battalion Tactical Group of the 70th Regiment of the 42nd Motorized Rifle Division and the 58th Army of the Southern District of the russian federation with its permanent base in the city of Shali (Chechnya).

“The BTG commander and his chief of staff were killed during the shelling of their infantry fighting vehicle IFV-3. Of all those in the vehicle, only Sergeant Magomedov survived. Ukrainian soldiers found him burnt, taciturn and barely alive. It must be noted that many of the members of the destroyed unit participated in the massacre of civilians in Syria. It turned out that the experience of war with defenseless civilians did not help the russians during the meeting with Ukrainian soldiers,” the statement said.

The Ukrainian military repulsed more than 50 russian attacks in a week in the Donetsk and Luhansk regions.

7 April, a group of Special Operations Forces of UAF seized several units of russian air defense equipment: BUK SAM and the combat control point of BUK M1 complex.
