Deputy Commander of the Azov regiment, Captain Sviatoslav Palamar (Kalyna) said that the defenders of Mariupol were able to kill more than two thousand invaders and a lot of enemy equipment.
The captain recorded a video message, in which he told about the heroic work of the Azov and the difficulties they face, keeping the city surrounded by the russians.
"Our fighters do the unthinkable things which go beyond the limits of the possible. 46 tanks were destroyed, 27 were wrecked. 69 IFVs and BMTs, 30 APCs, Typhoon, Rys, Tiger, trucks, cars, UAVs, boat, aircraft were shot down and destroyed. More than two thousand units of enemy infantry were wounded and killed. This means that every three hours enemy equipment is wrecked, and every hour is killed up to two invaders," - said Captain Sviatoslav Palamar (Kalyna).
According to him, the Ukrainian military "fight under constant enemy fire from tanks, artillery, air strikes, other means of fire destruction. And all these things are done in full surroundings and without proper support."
"With each day of battle, the defenders of the city become fewer and fewer. But they bite into the concrete, break into the ground, become crazy to withstand all this hell. But again and again, they rise to full height and go to kill the occupier... We do not stop fighting," - stressed the Deputy Commander of Azov.
The Captain also noted that the defenders of Mariupol "are disappointed to listen to the assumption that lifting of a blockade is impossible, that we have received reinforcements, while we are less."
"We are tired of listening to analysts who are covered by pleasant words and pouring soothing on the ears of Ukrainians. It is difficult for us to look at statistics among the victims of the civilian population of Ukraine, where there is no word on Mariupol. As if those women, children, other people who were victims of russian terror did not die, but were still alive," - said Sviatoslav Palamar.
He stressed that fighters feel the support of Ukrainians and do not stop fighting.
"I really want every Ukrainian to finally understand what lies behind the fantastic courage of our military. This is faith in brothers and their commanders. This is a belief in the better future of our country. Faith in Ukrainian Mariupol. Despite all the obstacles that have been on our way all 8 years since the creation of our unit, and this is a ban on training with NATO instructors, this is a ban on the supply of weapons, these are legends about fascists - we stand still. We will fight because Mariupol is Ukraine!" - stressed the Deputy Commander of the Azov regiment.
Earlier, Mykhailo Podoliak, Advisor to the Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, said that the military-political leadership of Ukraine is aware of the problems with ammunition from the defenders of Mariupol and monitors the situation in real time and has more information than is known in social networks.
The day before, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy thanked all the heroes who defend the city of Mariupol, which is surrounded by russian invaders.
