Moldova accuses the russian army of trying to recruit Moldovan citizens, Reuters reports.

The day before, British intelligence reported that Moscow was trying to replenish its forces in Ukraine by recruiting people in the self-proclaimed pro-russian Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic (Transnistria).

"Such actions do not facilitate peace for all of us, our fellow citizens, our families. Such things are very dangerous and must be stopped," Moldovan Foreign Minister Nicu Popescu said.

He did not give details about the recruitment of Moldovan citizens by russia, but said that his country's foreign ministers meet regularly with the russian ambassador and that Moldova's position on the issue is very clear.

This January, russian troops conducted firefighting and rear training in Transnistria. According to Ukrainian intelligence, russian special services were preparing provocations against russian servicemen in Transnistria to accuse Ukraine.

In early March, unknown individuals blew up a bridge connecting the Odessa region with Transnistria.
