As of April 15, the bodies of 900 killed Ukrainians have been found in the Kyiv region, the head of the Kyiv region Police, Andriy Nebytov, announced at the briefing in Ukraine Media Center. According to him, russians occupied 180 towns and villages in the Kyiv region.
“We are gathering all the information; the main focuses are on searching for the looters, recoding the crimes of the russian army, recording the damages. We are also looking for collaborators, who facilitated the occupation and supported the russian army,” he said.
Nebytov said that killed Ukrainians, apart from mass graves, have also been lying on the streets. The gathered information suggests that russians tried to establish their regime in the captured towns and villages during the occupation.
They killed those who refused. They tortured the head of the Motyzhyn village council to death because she refused to cooperate with the occupiers. Russians also tortured to death her husband and son.
“Today, we reached the point of 900 bodies of the killed - civilian people - I emphasize that. We discovered the bodies, examined and transferred them to the forensic institutions. More than 900 victims at the hands of the russian army,” he said.
The Kyiv region became completely liberated from occupiers on April 2. Mass graves and places of mass murder were found in many settlements, including Bucha. On April 10, a mass execution site was located between the villages of Myla and Mriia in the Kyiv region - russians killed the passengers and drivers of around 10 cars there. Another mass grave with civilians was found in Buzova, near Bucha.
The bodies of 280 civilians killed by the russians were found in only one grave in Bucha. After the retreat of the occupiers, the dead were found on the streets, including children.
There are also mass graves in Borodianka.
