Since the start of the war, russian occupiers killed 200 children, and more than 350 children were wounded, the General Prosecutor’s Office reports on their Telegram channel. 

Since 24 February 2022, 560 children have been affected in Ukraine due to full-scale armed aggression by Russia.

"According to official data from juvenile prosecutors, 200 children were killed and more than 360 wounded. These figures are not final, as work is underway to establish them in places of active hostilities, in the temporarily occupied and liberated territories," the statement said.

The most affected children were from the Donetsk region - 117, Kyiv region - 105 (in the capital - 16), Kharkiv region - 88, Chernihiv region - 54, Kherson region - 41, Mykolaiv region - 40, Luhansk region - 40, Luhansk region - 36, Zaporizhia region - 23, Sumy region - 16, Zhytomyr region - 15.

In particular, on April 15, russian servicemen shelled one of Kharkiv's districts. As a result of the shelling, 5 children were injured, two of whom died, including a 7-month-old baby. On April 14, a 15-year-old boy was wounded in a detonation of a cluster shell on the outskirts of Novovorontsovka village in the Kherson region.

The bombing and shelling by the russian armed forces damaged 1,018 educational institutions, 95 of which were completely destroyed.

On April 14, the shelling of Oleksandrivka village in the Kharkiv region injured two children aged 9 and 11.

The head of the Ukrainian Ministry of Internal Affairs, Denys Monastyrsky,y handed over a bloodied children's toy from the Kramatorsk railway station to the UN mission. It will be evidence of russian war crimes at the Hague tribunal.
