Senior Sergeant Olena Kushnir, a medic of the National Guard who stayed in the city till the end to save soldiers and civilians, got killed in Mariupol.
This was reported by journalist Tetiana Danylenko.
"Earlier she managed to evacuate her young son from the city, and in the first days of war she lost a beloved person. In March, Olena Kushnir recorded a video to draw the world's attention to the humanitarian catastrophe in Mariupol," the journalist said.
The Mariupol Today telegram channel published a screenshot of correspondence between Olena Kushnir and her friend, where Olena asks not to feel sorry for her, because she is on duty.
According to Tetiana Danylenko, at least a hundred women soldiers remain in besieged Mariupol.
Recently journalists showed a video from Ilyich district in Mariupol which the russian federation "completely liberated from the Ukrainian nationalists". There are dozens of dead bodies in the footage.
