In Kharkiv, an administrative office building in the Osnovyanskyy district caught fire during yesterday’s shelling. According to preliminary data, two people died, and 18 people were injured.
The State Emergency Service (SES) reported this on the Telegram.
“There was a fire in the office building in the Osnovyansky district of Kharkiv. The fire area was about 500 square meters, and nine cars were on fire in addition to the building. Ten units of fire rescue equipment and about 50 SES rescuers worked at the fire scene,” posted in the message.
In addition, the plant caught fire in the Industrial district. Wooden pallets and plastic containers burned on an area of about 6,000 square meters.
Twelve branches of the SES were involved in the fire extinguishing. Firefighters managed to save a significant part of the commercial products and prevent the spread of flames to other facilities.
From April 16 to 17, Kharkiv rescuers went out 11 times to extinguish fires caused by enemy shelling.
The head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, Oleh Siniegubov, considers that the enemy had already lost the battle for Kharkiv, and it knows about that. Russia has lost a lot of equipment, aircraft, and manpower in the region. At the same time, the enemy is preparing fortifications to better plan the attack.
