Russians continue to advance trying to move deeper into Popasna. After they had tried to assault Rubizhne and Severodonetsk hospitals of Novoaidar received circa 130 injured enemy soldiers.
This was reported by the Head of the Luhansk regional military administration Serhiy Haidai. According to him, 10 attacks have been repealed on the territories of the Luhansk and Donetsk regions for the last 24 hours. 20 tanks, 28 armored vehicles, 2 automobiles and 1 artillery system were eliminated.
Air defense units shot down hostile SU-34 jet, KA-52 assault helicopter, 4 unmanned aircraft vehicles and 1 cruise missile.
The small city of Novodruzhesk (which is located close to Lysychansk) suffered from the night attack. Few buildings and a gas pipeline were destroyed. The city is out of gas supply currently.
“After midnight russians shot civilians’ houses. Two houses in the central part of the city caught fire. The amount of other damage is being investigated. The gas pipeline is destroyed. The emergency repair service will assess the damage and estimate the time required for repairs. The city of Hirske was shot several times over the last night”, - reported Haidai.
The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine informed that the enemy concentrated its forces to capture Mariupol. The enemy keeps offensive actions in the East to gain control of the Donetsk and Luhansk regions.
