More than 1 million Ukrainians have already returned home since February 24, the beginning of the full-scale invasion of the russian federation.

This was stated by Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal at the government meeting on Tuesday, April 19.

"While our soldiers bravely defend the eastern and southern borders, the country is getting back to work. Ukrainians are returning home.More than a million of our citizens came back to their homeland since the beginning of the full-scale invasion of the russian federation," said the head of government.

According to the press service of the parliament, since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, Ukrainians are returning home in significant numbers.The first month it was mostly men. In recent weeks, there has been an increase in the number of women and children returning.

According to the UN, as on April 15, 870 thousand people who went abroad since the beginning of the war returned to Ukraine.Every day 30 thousand refugees return to their homeland.

The State Border Guard Service reported that on April 16, for the first time since the beginning of the war, more people arrived in Ukraine from the EU and Moldova than left. In the following days, the trend continued.
