Lithuania has sent a shipment of heavy mortars to Ukraine. Arvidas Anushauskas, Minister of National Defense, informed about it, BNS informs.

He did not mention the number of weapons but said that military aid was evaluated at tens of millions of euros.

According to Anushauskas, Lithuania regularly sends arms and ammunition to Ukraine. Not only the Stinger missile system was sent to Ukraine, but also other anti-tank, anti-aircraft weapons, ammunition, grenades, machine guns, etc.

“I calculated it a month ago; it was 35 deliveries of different kinds… The residual value of the delivered aid made up several tens of millions Euro, and the relative cost might be 5-10 times higher,” the Minister said.

To remind, Germany removed heavy weapons from the list of military aid to Ukraine, supposedly because it is not supplied by other countries.
