The Russian army is already preparing to use outdated Soviet military equipment.
This was reported in the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.
"In order to restore its combat capabilities, the Russian Armed Forces are increasingly using Soviet-made equipment, which has been in storage for a long time (since the 1970s). Considerable attention is paid to increasing the capabilities of artillery and missile units to carry out continuous shelling of Ukrainian cities, "the intelligence informed.
In particular, the following weapons were taken in April:
-18 Msta-S self-propelled artillery guns from the arsenal of missile and artillery weapons (Ussuriysk, Primorsky Krai) of the Eastern Military District;
- 28 self-propelled artillery guns "Acacia"; from the arsenal No. 94 of the Main Missile and Aviation Managing Administration (Omsk)
-15 self-propelled artillery guns "Msta-S", 5 self-propelled artillery guns "Acacia", 20 self-propelled artillery guns "Gvozdika" are being delivered from the arsenal of complex storage (Gagarin, Sverdlovsk region) under the Center of Material and Technical Support of the Central Military District to the storage base (Novocherkassk).
-15 MLRS "Hurricane" and 11 tactical operational missile complexes "Tochka U” from the arsenal No. 109 of Main Missile and Aviation Managing Administration (Batareyna, Irkutsk region).
Besides, the movement of the echelon consisting of 8 rocket launchers “Grad”, 8 MLRS “Hurricane” and 7 loader-transport vehicles for MLRS "Hurricane" was observed in the settlement of Kievskoye (the Moscow region). According to preliminary data, the equipment was taken from the arsenals of the Western Military District.
"Restoration of combat capability and supply of weapons for the military divisions of the Western Military District is carried out with weapons from storage of the Mobilization Deployment Center No. 239 (the town of Boguchar, 45 km from the Ukrainian border). Maintenance and repairs are carried out by units of Separate Army Labor Battalion No. 215 “Marshal Zhukov” 20A ", the intelligence informed.
