Dnipro City Mayor, Borys Filatov, reported the shelling of the city center by the russian army.
He wrote about this on his Telegram channel.
Filatov addressed the citizens, asking them to remain in shelters.
"Dnipro city center is being shelled. Everybody, stay in the shelter! Please, wait for the official information from the military administration," - wrote the Mayor.
Ukrzaliznytsia reports that the russians hit a railway infrastructure object according to preliminary data.
"Russian troops continue targeting the railway infrastructure. We have another missile attack on the railway infrastructure in Dnipro. There were no casualties among the railway employees. The level of the damage will be assessed when there is no threat of air attack," - reads the statement.
Earlier, referring to the sources in the Pentagon, the New York Times informed that russia could try to conduct a high-scale offensive operation from Izium to Dnipro.
Representatives made this forecast of the US Department of Defense due to the high concentration of russian troops in the Kharkiv region. In particular, satellite images showed a 13-kilometer convoy of Russian military vehicles and equipment near the village of Velykyi Burluk, east of Kharkiv.
