The Ministry of Foreign Affairs head Dmytro Kuleba on his Twitter greeted the EU's discussion to impose an oil embargo on russia. He also mentioned those that opposed the decision.
"If any country in Europe opposes the russian oil embargo there will be clear grounds to say that such a country is complicit in the crimes that russia has committed in Ukraine," – the Minister said.
The European Commission has approved the sixth sanctions package proposal submitted to the Council of the EU. The package includes the de-SWIFTing of the russian key bank "Sberbank" and phased implementation of the oil embargo.
According to media reports, so far Bulgaria, Hungary, and Slovakia have been unwilling to impose the oil embargo. Discussion of the sanctions package is to be continued at the EU states ambassadors meeting tomorrow.
