Bulgaria will ask the European Union to lift the embargo on russian oil.
This was stated by Bulgarian Minister of Energy Alexander Nikolov, reports RBC-Ukraine with reference to BGNES.
The country will look for a solution that will avoid risks to the operation of its refineries and production.
“Bulgaria's position on oil is clear. We will ask for a postponement from the EU”, Nikolov said.
According to the Minister of Energy, his country, as well as Greece and Romania will work to potentially reduce dependence on natural gas in the region.
We are reminding, that Japan can't refuse the Russian oil yet.
And the President of the European Council Charles Michel said that all EU countries will support the sixth package of sanctions against Russia. It provides for an oil embargo on russia.
