According to the official statistics, German export to russia dropped by 62.3% in March against the previous month, informs The New York Times.

The media states that the sudden decrease in export to russia shows the close ties between two countries.

Meanwhile, the German companies sold Russia the goods at €1 bn (about $1.06 bn) in March as many of them do not want to break the connections with the country. In particular, the German companies continue to sell russia medicines, food, seeds, and medical equipment.

In general, the German export dropped by 3.3% against February.

German Chancellor Olaf Scholz said that sanctions against Russia for the war against Ukraine wouldn’t be lifted as long as Moscow would not reach the peace agreement with Kyiv.
