Ukrainian Troops Continue Their Counterattack North of Kharkiv, According to British Ministry of Defense

Ukrainian troops continue their counterattack north of Kharkiv, recapturing several towns and villages toward the russian border.

This was reported in the Ministry of Defense of the United Kingdom with reference to intelligence data.

"russia's priority in the Donbas operation has left its forces in the Kharkiv region vulnerable to mobile and highly motivated Ukrainian counter-offensive forces," the statement said.

Despite the fact that the russians managed to surround Kharkiv at the beginning of the war, they withdrew forces from the region to regroup and strengthen them after heavy losses.

"Then these forces will be deployed on the east bank of the Siverskyi Donets River, forming a blocking force to protect the western flank of the russia’s main forces and the main supply routes for operations near Izyum," - said the British.

The withdrawal of russian forces from the Kharkiv region is a tacit recognition of russia's inability to capture key Ukrainian cities, where they expected minimal resistance from the population, the country's Defense Ministry said.

Earlier the Ministry of Defense of Great Britain reported that the russian Federation has spent stocks of high-precision missiles and uses obsolete ammunition.
