The German concern Siemens has decided to cease its activities in russia due to its aggression against Ukraine, - reported by Reuters.

"Today, we announced our decision to carry out an orderly process to wind down our industrial business activities in russia," - said Siemens CEO Roland Bush.

He added that the concern joins the international community in condemning the war and is focused on providing humanitarian aid to Ukraine.

Siemens employs about 3,000 people in russia.

On February 24, russia launched a full-scale military invasion of Ukraine. The invaders are shelling and bombing peaceful towns and villages, torturing and killing civilians.

The United States, the European Union, the United Kingdom, Japan and other countries continue to impose sanctions on the aggressor country. Several hundred global companies have decided to leave the russian market.
