The russian occupiers are seizing Ukrainian grain, directing it to their own consumption or trying to sell it on international markets.

This was reported by the Press Service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine has warned consumer countries that consignments of grain sold by russia may partially or completely contain stolen grain. Such grain was obtained as a result of looting by the russian occupation authorities, as the theft of food resources from the territory of an independent sovereign State is one of the manifestations of looting.

According to the Ukrainian Government, the occupiers stole at least 400-500 thousand tons of grain worth more than 100m. dollars.

"Practically all ships leaving Sevastopol with grain transport stolen Ukrainian products," the Foreign Ministry said.

It is emphasized that russia's theft of Ukrainian grain is confirmed by numerous testimonies of Ukrainian farmers and documentary evidence.

The Foreign Ministry called on the international community to strengthen economic sanctions in order to stop russia's armed aggression against Ukraine, prevent a humanitarian catastrophe and worsening the situation with food security in the world.

As previously reported, the grain stolen by the russians from Ukraine is already in the Mediterranean. The most likely country of destination for the loot is Syria, from where the goods can be smuggled to other countries in the Middle East.

In mid-March, 5 ships loaded with tens of thousands of tons of Ukrainian grain disappeared from the Berdyansk seaport.
