The Prime Minister of Belarus Roman Golovchenko voiced the losses suffered by the country's economy due to sanctions by the European Union and the United States.

In an interview with Al Arabiya TV channel, the high-ranking official called Western sanctions against Belarus "an instrument of hybrid aggression," BELTA informs.

According to Golovchenko, due to the sanctions, Belarus loses about $16-18 billion annually, as almost all of Belarus' exports to the European Union and North America are blocked.

"Naturally, we cannot lose this volume of exports and have to reorient it to other markets," said the Belarusian Prime Minister.

According to him, Belarus now intends to redirect exports to Asia, Africa and the Middle East.

Previously Ukraine seized russian and Belarusian assets of almost $17 billion.
