Russia has deployed 106 battalion tactical groups [BTG] in Ukraine, most of them in the South, the Pentagon press service said at the briefing.
A Pentagon spokesman noted that there is no clear understanding of the combat effectiveness of these groups in the United States. Meanwhile russian troops are suffering daily losses, the Pentagon added.
The largest group is concentrated in the southern direction, it has more than 50 BTG.
In terms of location, these groups are concentrated between Kherson in the west and Mariupol in the east. Also from Zaporizhia from the north to Velyka Novosilka.
As of May 14 in Ukraine there were 105 battalion and tactical groups of russia. The enemy added new ones to the territory of Donbass.
