The Ukrainian army is already using the new generation of self-propelled howitzer, Caesar, at the front line. It allows hitting the enemy with high accuracy at 20 km or more from the frontline.
The Commander-in-Chief of the UAF (Armed Forces of Ukraine), Valeriy Zaluzhnyi, informed it.
He added that this is the distance where the enemies deployed their artillery, reserves, and command points, and their destruction reduces the enemy's offensive potential.
The self-propelled howitzer Caesar has wheeled chassis, making it mobile and maneuverable. The howitzer is equipped with an automated self-binding and self-targeting system." It has a reasonably high fire rate - 5 shots per minute and high fire accuracy. Several types of 155 mm ammunition used in NATO countries are suitable for Ceasar.
Zaluzhnyi emphasized that Ukrainian artillerymen quickly mastered the new self-propelled howitzer; in fact, it took them 2-3 hours.
The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine thanked the partners for the assistance that brings our victory closer.
Canada will transfer to Ukraine 20 thousand artillery shells for howitzers. And the Minister for Foreign Affairs, Dmytro Kuleba, stated Ukraine's need for weapons and ammunition.
