Units of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine are ready to repel any attempts of repeated invasion of russia from the north, said the First Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, Yevgeny Yenin, on the air of the all-Ukrainian telethon, confirms the press service of the MIA.
"We, together with units of the Armed Forces, are strengthening the defense around our borders. We have reinforced the service regime in the border areas and added new units. We are ready to repel any attempts by russia. Today we are more often faced with artillery or mortar shelling. In some cases, these are attempts to send a sabotage and reconnaissance group from the russian side. They usually get a decisive rebuff and retreat with heavy losses," said Yevgeny Yenin.
According to him, now, along the border with Belarus, there are no signs of the accumulation of enemy strike groups.
"The enemy is carrying out distracting fire, not allowing us to divert reserves to" hotter "areas," Yenin added.
At the end of May, military exercise of the armed forces is planned at the training grounds in Brest, Vitebsk, Grodno, Minsk and Mogilev regions of Belarus. The action plan envisages the withdrawal of weapons and military equipment and marches.
