The American television channel CNN continues to cover war crimes committed in Ukraine by personnel of the russian 64 separate motorized rifle brigade.

This was reported by the press service of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense.

"Assigning the 64th Motorized Rifle Brigade the honorary title of "Guards" testifies to putin's purposeful encouragement of the practice of russian soldiers committing crimes on the territory of Ukraine," the statement said.

The channel's journalists interviewed Bucha residents and representatives of the local prosecutor's office. The Prosecutor General of Ukraine and a representative of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense also provided CNN with comments.

The plot of the TV channel can be viewed at the link.

On March 31 the Armed Forces released Bucha from occupation of the russian troops. The satellite city of the capital has become a symbol of the inhuman cruelty of the enemy: russians killed more than 400 civilians here. Many victims had their hands tied behind their backs, there were traces of torture on their bodies, and many were killed, while trying to evacuate - despite the warning signs "CHILDREN" on the car. In general, according to Bucha Mayor Anatoliy Fedoruk, the bodies of almost 85% of those killed have bullet holes. That is, these are not accidental victims of the war, the russians killed intentionally.

On April 18, russian president vladimir putin noted the "heroism and courage" of 64 separate motorized infantry brigades of the russian land forces, which staged a massacre in Bucha.

The Kremlin's website said that putin had given the brigade the name "Guards" for "heroism and courage, resilience and courage shown by the brigade's personnel in fighting to protect the homeland and state interests in armed conflict."

Mykhailo Podoliak, an adviser to the head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, reacted to this and said that the Kremlin leader was laughing in the face of the world.

In April, a team of International Criminal Court investigators began investigating russian war crimes in Bucha.
