Due to the intensification of enemy shelling, the authorities of Orikhiv (former district center) of the Zaporizhzhia region began to evacuate residents to safe areas.
This was reported in the press service of the Zaporizhzhia RMA.
«Last night, the intensity of the shelling probably reached its peak. We have major destruction of buildings, infrastructure. Therefore, a decision was made to evacuate the population from the dangerous area as much as possible. Today our countrymen arrived in Zaporizhzhia», the Head of the Pology District State Administration Artur Krupskyy said.
Almost all municipal engineering of the community is damaged, it is impossible to live in destroyed houses.
On May 31, 50 people were evacuated from Orikhiv to Zaporizhzhia. They were placed in a logistics hub, where people received the necessary assistance: warm meals, hygiene products, a place to rest. The RMA says that the evacuees will be provided with medical and psychological assistance if necessary.
In the Zaporizhzhia region, russians are transporting obsolete equipment to the occupied territories, and the population is being forced to apply for russian passports.
