Every day Ukraine loses 60-100 servicemen in the war against russia. This was stated by President Volodymyr Zelenskiy in an interview with Newsmax.

"The situation in the east is very hard. We are losing 60 to 100 troops every day and we have about 500 wounded in battle," he said.

Zelenskiy also reminded that russia continues to block 22.5 m tons of grain.

"To unblock the territory with access to the sea, with access to our people, we need to fight and have weapons with a range of up to 120-140 kilometers," he said.

The President stressed that Ukrainians need such weapons for use on their land, not for shelling russia.

"I know some people in the United States are saying, or some people in the White House are saying, that we can use them to attack russia: look, we don't plan to attack russia. We're not interested in russia. We're not fighting on its territory.", - he said.

Zelenskiy added that we want to unblock our cities, and this requires ammunition that can hit targets of up to 100 kilometers.

It will be recalled that the range of missiles fired from standard MLRS, which Ukraine is expected to receive, is 43 miles, or almost 70 km. At the same time, the range of even these systems is almost twice the range of Ukrainian firepower. Thus, the Armed Forces of Ukraine now use M777 howitzers from the United States, which have a range of about 28 miles.

US President Joe Biden has said that the Americans will provide Ukrainians with more advanced missile systems and ammunition that will allow them to more accurately hit key targets on the battlefield in Ukraine.

An expert on international relations, former US Ambassador to russia Michael McFaul said that the United States will still provide Ukraine with long-range multiple rocket launchers, but they will not be able to shoot deep into russia.
