Ukraine remains a defensive perimeter of the world against russia and vladimir putin, which means that it cannot give up.
This was announced by President Volodymyr Zelenskiy in an interview with Newsmax.
"We are not giving up any of our territories, because our territories are our territories. This is our independence, our sovereignty, our cause," he said.
The President acknowledged that there are some difficulties with some parts of Ukraine, but all this can be discussed, and negotiations are necessary to end the war.
The seizure of Donetsk and Luhansk regions is out of the question and should be resolved through diplomatic channels.
"When it comes to ultimatums and 'you have to give up a third of your territory and we will leave you alone and alive', this is not something we can agree on," Zelenskiy said.
The President added that the talks should be, but meaningful, that is, russia should be ready to hold them.
Earlier President of Ukraine stressed that he was ready to hold direct negotiations with putin. His demand is the absence of mediators and only one issue on the table - the end of the war.
