As of the morning of June 1, russian troops control about 70% of Severodonetsk. Some Ukrainian troops retreated to more advantageous, pre-prepared positions.
Another part continues fighting inside the city, said the head of the Luhansk OVA Serhiy Haidai.
"Lysychansk is completely under Ukrainian control. All free settlements of Luhansk region are constantly under fire," he said.

Lysychansk has a more favorable position than Severodonetsk, because it is located a little higher.
Evacuation from the region is suspended. There is no possibility to deliver humanitarian goods to Severodonetsk. The hospital has a sufficient number of medicines and other medical supplies, the rubber staffs have stocks of food - this may be enough for a while.
About 15,000 civilians out of 120,000 who lived before the start of the full-scale aggression remain in Severodonetsk. Most of those who remained did not leave in principle. According to Gaidai, the russians plan to "clean up" the villages around Severodonetsk. Ukrainian troops remain in the city and repel attacks. Fighting is already taking place in the central part.
