Since February 24, 17 thousand 86 defenders of the country have been awarded medals, the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyi announced in a video address.
"Today I signed two new decrees on awarding our heroes. 380 participants of hostilities were awarded. In total, 17 thousand 86 defenders of Ukraine have received medals and other awards since the beginning of the full-scale war," said the President of Ukraine.
Volodymyr Zelenskyi visited the front line positions of the Ukrainian military on May 29 during a working trip to the Kharkiv region.
The President got acquainted with the operational situation in the area of responsibility of the units and presented state awards to the servicemen.
