Border guards did not detect a group of russian troops in front of Chernihiv and Sumy oblasts that could launch a second attack on these regions.

This was stated by the spokesman of the State Border Guard Service Andriy Demchenko on the UArazom telethon.

According to him, so far there is no group that could invade Ukraine in the direction of Chernihiv or Sumy. However, it is impossible to name the exact number of russian troops who are on the border.

"We see displacement, we see the actions of the russian army, which are strengthening their positions on its territory in front of these areas," Demchenko said.

At the same time, daily shelling of the borders of Sumy and Chernihiv oblasts by russian troops using artillery, aircraft, mortars, and small arms is recorded. This poses a threat not only to the military but also to the civilian population, as shelling has repeatedly damaged or destroyed buildings.

Demchenko noted that the enemy is doing everything possible to ensure that Ukraine continues to maintain the required number of forces (in these areas - ed.) And does not transfer them to more threatening areas, where the actual fighting is taking place.

As reported earlier, the spokesman of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine Alexander Motuzyanyk doesn't exclude strengthening of attacks and raids and sabotage actions in the northern direction.
