The occupiers acknowledged the death of Major General of the russian Armed Forces, Roman Kutuzov. It was liquidated on June 5 near the Bakhmut-Lysychansk highway, Mariupol Mayor's Adviser Petro Andryushchenko wrote on Telegram.
"It's not sad news at all," he wrote.
Roman Kutuzov was the so-called commander of the "Donetsk People's Republic" army corps, added Serhiy Bratchuk, a spokesman for the Odesa Regional Military Administration.
This is not the first russian general to be eliminated by Ukrainian defenders during a full-scale russian invasion. In April, in the Kherson region, the Ukrainian military destroyed the command post of the 49th Army of the russian federation. Two generals were killed, and another was in critical condition.
Several russian generals were also eliminated in March.
