On June 8, russian troops reopened fire on Kharkiv. As a result of the shelling at about 11 PM, fires broke out in the buildings of a cafe, grocery store and school library in the Novobavarsky district.
According to preliminary data, two people died, and four others were injured. The information is being clarified, the State Emergency Service said.
"The total area of the fires was about 500 square meters. The school building was partially damaged. Nine rescue vehicles and 50 SES personnel were involved in the fire. At 3:10 AM all fires were extinguished," rescuers said.
The general producer of Ukrainian Radio, Dmytro Khorkin, said at night that terrestrial television broadcasting had temporarily disappeared in Kharkiv.
The night before, Kharkiv also came under fire. Garage cooperatives, a supermarket, and non-residential premises caught fire. On the evening of June 7, the enemy fired on the Shevchenkivskyi district of the city, injuring two people.
