The russians have kidnapped up to 100 employees of the Zaporizhzhya nuclear power plant since 4 March, the day when they seized the NPP, Petro Kotin, president of the state-owned nuclear energy company Energoatom, has said on the air of Suspilne TV.

"They have kidnapped up to a hundred people among the plant employees and of these people only some then returned to work with wounded psyche, making a statement that they love the 'Russian world' because of the torture used on them by their captors," he said.

Kotin added that there are currently about 10,000 plant workers in Enerhodar out of a total staff of over 11,000. However, not all of them work at the plant on a permanent basis.

The plant has also reduced the maximum number of personnel permanently on site. There are no additional services that work there during peacetime.

"That is, there are about 10,000 plant employees in Enerhodar, but significantly fewer at the site itself," he said.

Russian troops have deployed their equipment, explosives and weapons in the engine room of the first power unit of the Zaporizhzhya nuclear power plant. There are at least 14 pieces of heavy weapons with ammunition there.
