The russian missile attack caused a fire at a pumping station of the Odesa sea port, the head of the coordinating press centre for the southern defence forces, Natalya Humenyuk, has said, as quoted by Suspilne.

"Obviously, the enemy's objective was to hit precisely the Odesa commercial seaport. Four Kalibr missiles were aimed in this direction. Two of them were shot down by the air defence forces, two hit the port infrastructure. There have been no casualties so far. There was no significant damage to the port infrastructure, but a pumping station was hit," Humenyuk said.

Also, according to her, there was a minor fire, which was soon extinguished by rescuers. The shock wave damaged houses around the port. The grain storage facility itself was not hit, according to Humenyuk.

Earlier, the spokesman for the Ukrainian Air Force Command, Yuriy Ihnat, said that the russian occupiers carried out a missile attack on the port of Odesa exactly where the grain storage was.
