The Ukrainian Armed Forces repelled a russian missile strike from the Black Sea on the morning of 24 June, the Air Command West has said.
"Around 9:00 a.m. on 24 July, the russian occupying forces launched a missile strike against Khmelnytskyy Region from the Black Sea. Three sea-launched Kalibr cruise missiles were shot down by the forces and means of air defence of the Air Command West," the report reads.
Around 9 a.m., the head of the Khmelnytskyy regional military administration, Serhiy Hamaliy, said air defence was activated in the region. He gave no other details but urged residents to take cover until the end of the air alert. As of 10.32 a.m., the region was no longer on air alert.
