President Volodymyr Zelensky has urged Ukrainians to actively prepare for a new week that is very important for all of us and for our state.

"Ahead is our Flag Day, our Independence Day. Ahead is the honouring of veterans of the war for the freedom of Ukraine. Ahead is the Crimean Platform - this year it's really special. This year you can literally in the air of Crimea that the occupation there is temporary and Ukraine is coming back," he said.

Zelenskyy added that important talks and visits by real friends of Ukraine are planned for next week.

"A landmark milestone is ahead - six months of this full-scale invasion. A war that changed everything for Ukraine, for Europe and for the world. We must be aware that this week Russia may try to do something particularly nasty, something particularly brutal. This is our enemy. But in any other week of these six months Russia did the same thing all the time - something nasty and brutal", said the president.

He noted that one of the key tasks of the enemy is to humiliate Ukrainians, to devalue our capabilities, our heroes, to spread mistrust, fear, and conflicts. "Therefore, it is important to never, not for a minute give in to this hostile pressure, not to get worked up, not to show weakness," Zelenskyy said.

The Interior Ministry earlier urged not to ignore the air-raid alarms on Independence Day.
