Ukrainian army hits plant with Russian hardware in Kherson Region – Suspilne

Kherson has lost power supply.

The Ukrainian Armed Forces have hit the Beryslav machine-building plant in Kherson Region, where Russian troops have stationed equipment, ammunition and personnel.

There is now a fire there, the head of the Beryslav district administration, Volodymyr Litvinov, has told Suspilne.

Journalists also reported that there was no power supply in Kherson and the region as of 12:40.

Today, the Operational Command South reported that the Ukrainian defence forces have launched offensives on many fronts in the south of the country.

The Kakhovka Task Force said that Donetsk militants fighting against Ukraine had abandoned their positions in Kherson Region. Russian paratroopers followed them. The military released a video of an occupier saying that the Ukrainian armed forces had broken the first line of defence in Kherson Region.

Additionally, Kakhovka said that due to the destruction of the supply routes to Kherson Region, the Russian army was cut off from supplies of weapons and personnel from the territory of Crimea. They said that "this is a brilliant chance for Ukraine to reclaim its territories".

The head of the Mykolayiv regional military administration, Vitaliy Kim, recorded a video message on the afternoon of 29 August in which he urged residents not to give in to possible hostile provocations related to the changes in the Kherson area.
