A court finally banned the pro-Russian political party Opposition Platform-For Life in Ukraine on 15 September, the press service of the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) has said.
"On 15 September, the Administrative Cassation Court within the Supreme Court of Ukraine rejected the appeal of the pro-Russian political party Opposition Platform-For Life and thus finally banned its activities in our country," the SBU said.
It is noted that the decision to ban the party was taken due to its destructive activities, first of all, its demonstrative support and popularization of Russia's aggressive anti-Ukrainian policy both at the level of its leadership and its rank-and-file members.
In practice, the banned party relayed the official position of the aggressor country towards Ukraine and caused considerable damage to Ukraine's interests.
