The Verkhovna Rada has set up a Temporary Special Commission (TSC) on the use of funds for the construction of fortifications and the purchase of drones. This is known from a broadcast by MP Oleksiy Honcharenko on YouTube.
The resolution was voted for by 277 MPs. The document was registered in parliament yesterday and was authored by members of all parliamentary factions.
"In order to investigate the use of budget funds for the construction of fortifications and engineering barriers on the contact line, as well as for the manufacture and purchase of unmanned aerial vehicles for military units and subdivisions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and other military formations established in accordance with the laws of Ukraine, a Temporary Special Commission of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine is being established," the explanatory note says.
The main task of the TSC is to examine the circumstances and prepare questions regarding the needs of the security and defence sector for UAVs and the formation of a state order for their production and purchase. The MPs should also analyse the distribution, transfer, supply and acceptance of UAVs by military units and subdivisions.
In addition, the TSC is to analyse the construction of fortifications and engineering barriers on the contact line and the targeted use of funds allocated for their construction.
The TSC will consist of 15 MPs, with Mykola Zadorozhnyy (Servant of the People) as chairman and Mykhaylo Tsymbalyuk (Motherland) as deputy. Other members of the commission will be "servants" Andriy Bohdanets and Yelyzaveta Bohutska, Mykhaylo Bondar from European Solidarity, Vitaliy Bort from Platform for Life and Peace (former pro-Russian OPFL), and Anatoliy Burmich from Restoration of Ukraine (also former OPFL) (included in the so-called Register of Traitors of the Chesno Movement), "servants" Oleksandr Horenyuk, Oleksiy Zhmerenetskyy, Roman Kostenko from the Voice party, "servants" Dmytro Kostyuk, Ihor Marchuk, Serhiy Minko from Dovira, Serhiy Rudyk from For the Future and another "servant” Oleksandr Fediyenko.
The TSC should operate for a year, and its members should submit a report on their work no later than six months after its establishment.
