The former deputy head of the Presidential Office, Andriy Smyrnov, is suspected of illicit enrichment of UAH 15.7 million. This was reported by the NABU.
In the period from 2020 to 2022, the official, according to the investigation, acquired assets worth UAH 17.1 million, having savings and official income of UAH 1.3 million for this period. He bought two cars (Mercedes-Benz, Volkswagen), two motorcycles (Honda, BMW), three parking spaces in Kyiv, an apartment in Lviv and a land plot in Zakarpattya.
But to hide this, Smyrnov registered the property in the names of his friend and brother.
- This afternoon, several media outlets reported that Smyrnov had been served with a notice of suspicion, citing sources.
- Later, Smyrnov confirmed that he had been served with a suspicion of illicit enrichment, calling it "expected".
