Ukraine's counter-attack against Russian troops has been very effective but it does not signal the beginning of the end of the war - NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg said, according to Reuters.
He states that the allied countries should be ready for long-term military operations in Ukraine.
"It is of course extremely encouraging to see that Ukrainian armed forces have been able to take back territory and also strike behind Russian lines. At the same time, we need to understand that this is not the beginning of the end of the war, we need to be prepared for the long haul," he said.
Today, the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced that almost the entire Kharkiv Region has been de-occupied. The russian army stayed in Kharkiv Region for over five months.
According to the General Staff, the Armed Forces of Ukraine hit 13 enemy strongholds and repelled attacks near Bakhmut and Avdiivka. The enemy suffers heavy losses in the Kherson area –the corpses are being taken away by trucks.
