Russia continues to concentrate its efforts on attempts to fully occupy Donetsk Region, defend and keep the captured territories, and disrupt Ukrainian troops' operations in certain areas, the Ukrainian General Staff said in its evening update on the 205th day of the full-scale invasion.
Russians are shelling Ukrainian troops' positions along the line of contact, regrouping troops in certain directions, pulling in reserve and conducting aerial reconnaissance. Entire Ukraine is still facing a threat of air and missile strikes.
According to the General Staff, Russia continues to terrorize the civilian population, targets residential areas and civilian infrastructure in violation of the international humanitarian law and the laws and customs of war.
Today, the enemy has carried out four missile strikes, five air strikes and 12 rocket artillery attacks on the facilities in Ukraine.
The infrastructure of more than 18 settlements was damaged by air strikes, missile strikes and rocket launchers. These are Kharkiv, Zolochiv, Druzhkivka, Siversk, Zakitne, New York, Maryinka, Poltava, Mali Shcherbaky, Myrne, Velyke Artakove, Kryvyy Rih, Nikopol, Olhivske, Zaporizhzhya, Orikhiv and Myrolyubivka.
Ukrainian troops have repelled Russian attacks near Vesela Dolyna, Bakhmut, Zaytseve, Avdiivka and Novomykhaylivka.
The Defence Forces' aviation has hit four clusters of Russian manpower and equipment and one stronghold.
Ukrainian air defence units have destroyed a Russian Su-24, two cruise missiles and one drone.
