President Volodymyr Zelenskyy signed the law on the return of excise duties on fuel.
According to the website of the Verkhovna Rada, the law №7668-d was sent to the President for signature on 26 September, and today it was returned signed.
As reported, in March, amid a growing deficit, the Parliament zeroed excise taxes on motor fuel.
On 21 September, the Parliament adopted the draft law on the return of excise taxes by 255 votes. Excise rates for gasoline and diesel are 100 euros (per 1000 liters), liquefied gas, butane and isobutane - 52 euros, alternative motor fuel and biodiesel - 100 euros. VAT for all types of fuel remains at 7%.
The law should enter into force one day after publication, so the return of excise duties should be expected in late September.
