The Russians are using massive strikes to coerce Ukraine to talks on its terms. However, there is no talk of a new broad offensive, the spokesman for the Air Force Command, Yuriy Ihnat, has said on the UAraom telethon.

"The first reason is that they want to defeat us. It is clear that they want to set certain conditions, they want to persuade us to negotiate," he said.

Ihnat assured that massive rocket attacks do not indicate a new broad offensive. The offensive is currently underway only at the Bakhmut and Avdiyivka directions.

"It is probably too early to talk about such a significant offensive. But we see that serious combat actions are taking place in Donbas. The line has stabilised to some extent. Now the line of hostilities is still the Dnipro River. It is clear that the enemy is conducting offensive actions both in the Bakhmut and Avdiyivka directions. Time will tell whether there can be a broader offensive. It is clear that the reserves they had on the southern front have been expelled. The enemy is obviously moving them to the eastern direction. As well as some weapons from the territory of Belarus," Ihnat noted.
