President Volodymyr Zelenskyy had a meeting with UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak, who arrived in Ukraine for the first time, the presidential office has said.
Sunak noted the courage of the Ukrainian people, which inspires the whole world.
He emphasized that Great Britain would assist Ukraine until it regains peace.
"We will continue to provide assistance while you put pressure on Russian troops, while your infrastructure and homes are being destroyed," he said.
According to Sunak, the UK will provide new military assistance and continue training of Ukrainian military medics and engineers. In addition, it is planned to supply winter kits for the military, as well as humanitarian aid worth more than 16 million pounds.
"The £50 million package includes 125 anti-aircraft guns and technology to counter Iranian drones," Sunak said.
He noted that the UK hopes to host a conference on rebuilding Ukraine next year.
"Let's hope that we can end this barbaric war and ensure a just peace, where there is the rule of law, peace and respect for the sovereignty of the state, and those who committed war crimes are brought to justice," the prime minister said.
